Overview
This policy explains how SmartCharge collects, uses, stores, shares and protects personal data when you use the SmartCharge mobile application.
Data we collect
Depending on the features you use, we may process your name, surname, email address, phone number, profile image, preferred language, vehicle and VIN information, saved routes, support messages, push notification token, device information, IP address and app activity. With your permission, precise location is used to find charging stations, plan routes and provide navigation.
Payments
Payment entry is handled on the payment provider’s hosted interface. SmartCharge does not store full payment-card or bank-account details. We may retain a provider token and limited card information such as the brand, expiry date and last four digits to support saved cards, subscriptions and transaction records.
How we use data
We use data to create and manage accounts, provide maps, station search, route planning, saved vehicles and routes, notifications, payments, customer support, security, fraud prevention and service improvement.
Sharing and service providers
SmartCharge does not sell personal data. Data may be shared only with providers needed to operate the service, including hosting, maps and routing, push notifications, authentication, charging-network and payment providers, or with public authorities where required by law.
Retention and security
Data is retained while the account is active and as needed to provide the service or meet legal obligations. We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, including encryption in transit. No internet transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Your choices and rights
You may request access, correction or deletion of your data, withdraw location permission in device settings and opt out of optional notifications. Account deletion instructions are available at the link below.
Children
SmartCharge is intended for adults and is not directed to children.
